Flu Update

We apologise for the cancelled Flu clinic on 18th September which was out of our control. Please read a previous Flu Update on our website regarding the rescheduling of this clinic.

Our Flu Vaccines have now arrived

We are now in receipt of a large percentage of our flu order, and our flu clinics on September Saturday 25th and 2nd October will go ahead. No walk-ins please as the flu vaccines have been allotted to patients who have booked a flu appointment.

We will be doing catch up clinics for the under 65’s & over 65’s for their flu vaccinations for patients who are eligible and are unable to attend the above two dates, we will send further texts, emails & letters when we have the remainder of our flu vaccines delivered.

Covid Booster vaccines- tentative dates for your diary

We propose to do the Covid Booster on the following Saturdays 9.10.21 & 16.10.21. There is a strict criteria that we have to adhere to and patients will be contacted when they are due.

You will be contacted via email, text or letter, please do not confuse these vaccines with the Flu recalls as we are not doing both vaccines together.

Please do not call the surgery until we have had the clarification that we can go ahead with these Covid Booster Clinics on these specific dates.

Once we have been given the all clear we will contact you, we will be giving the Covid Booster Vaccination at St Catherine’s Surgery which is a designated Pop Up Clinic specifically used for the Covid Boosters. This surgery is on the ground floor and adjacent to St Georges Surgery. This will be managed by St Georges Surgery Staff so you will see familiar faces hiding under masks! You should come through the main entrance into the building where you will be greeted by the St Georges Staff, St Catherine’s will be set up as a walk through and will be able to accommodate the 15 minutes waiting time following your vaccine that you will be asked to adhere to. The Covid booster vaccine will be Pfizer we don’t have an alternative , the NHS Advice given to us is it is safe to administer an alternative brand if this differs from your previous immunisations.
