Flu Vaccine delays

Important flu update for patients booked into the 1st flu clinic on Saturday 18.9.21 please read this entire message (the 2nd flu clinic on the 25.9.21 is not affected at present).

As you may have seen in the media there are major disruptions to the delivery of the flu vaccines.

And unfortunately this has affected St Georges Surgery as well as many other surgeries in Gloucestershire. It is with sincerest regret that our 1st Flu clinic on the 18.9.21 has therefore been cancelled.

What we plan to do

To save the patients who already have an appointment in the flu clinic on Saturday 18.9.21 having to rebook we have taken the decision to move this clinic forward to another Saturday which will now be Saturday 2.10.21. You do not need to do anything if this new date is convenient as your appointment time will remain the same.

We will send out text message reminders with your original appointment time but with the alternative date of the 2.10.21

If this alternative date is not convenient we will be able to add some additional patients to the second clinic on 25.9.21 and we have further dates arranged in October to deliver the flu vaccines to all who qualify and we will be updating our website with these in the near future.

Please note we will not be re-opening any flu clinic at the moment until we know for definite that we have the flu vaccines and we will let you know when we can do this so please do not telephone the surgery regarding this just yet.

How we will let you know

  • We will keep our website updated so that you are informed as soon as we have further information
  • We will send out text messages to all who have this facility (please ensure your mobile numbers are correct)
  • For all who are unable to receive text messages we will endeavour to send you a letter

Again our sincerest apologies for this disruption that is out of our control please continue to support St Georges Surgery flu campaign and we hope to see you soon.

Kind regards the St Georges Surgery Team.
