Travel vaccinations

If you’re planning to travel outside the UK, you may need to be vaccinated against some of the serious diseases found in other parts of the world. The type of travel vaccinations you need depends on which country you’re visiting and what you’re doing.

Our Nurses can provide comprehensive travel health advice and arrange for appropriate immunisations. Vaccines need time to take effect, and some may require a course over several weeks.

Therefore, please complete a travel questionnaire at least 6 to 8 weeks before you’re due to travel.

Allow at least 1 week after handing in the form before calling us on 01242 501590 to book an appointment. This allows time for the nurse to carry out an initial travel assessment.

Yellow Fever vaccination is not provided in the surgery but available from specialist travel clinics. Yellow Fever Zone (nathnacyfzone.org.uk)
